Our state-of-the-art orthodontic office in Mashpee utilizes the latest in computer and digital technology to create great smiles in lesser total treatment time and with significantly less discomfort to the patient. Dr. Nicholas P. Zafiropoulos, DMD
Our patients love Dr. Nick for his patient-focused approach. Dr. Nick will be with you every step of the way, from discussing your smile concerns and walking you through treatment options to leaving our office with a healthy, stunning smile. Parents trust Dr. Nick as he will never push for radical or unnecessary procedures.
Dr. Nick graduated on top of his class when he completed his BA in Biology from Tufts University in 1988. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from his dental class at Tufts Dental School, he continued to the prestigious Tufts Postgraduate Orthodontic Program, where he spent an additional two years of full-time training in the art and science of orthodontics. He is President of the Executive Board of the Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists and a past president of the Tufts Association of Orthodontists.
When not working on smiles in our office, Dr. Nick can be seen enjoying the beaches of the Cape, boating, playing basketball, or traveling with his wife and his son Payi. He regularly attends conventions and symposiums related to orthodontic advancements to apply them in our practice and provide our patients with the best care possible.
Dr. Andrew Fraser, DMD
Dr. Andrew Fraser is a board-certified orthodontist who grew up in Andover, Massachusetts and attended Phillips Academy. He double-majored in mechanical and biomedical engineering at Tufts University and earned a master’s degree in biomedical engineering. He then was the recipient of a research fellowship in immunology and microfluidics from Harvard University. He went on to receive his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he was inducted in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and was presented with awards from the American Association of Orthodontists as well as Penn Dental Radiology.
Dr. Fraser completed his orthodontics residency at UCLA where he was elected chief resident. There he published numerous research articles with one being selected for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Most notably, another of his publications was chosen as required reading for the American Board of Orthodontics Board Exam, a first-time honor for a resident.
Dr. Fraser is a committed advocate for continuing education among orthodontists. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Massachusetts Dental Society, the latter of which awarded him in 2022 the Top Ten Under Ten Award, a distinction given to those who “have made a significant contribution to the profession, their community, and/or organized dentistry.” He was selected by his peers to be an AAO Professional Advocacy delegate during which time he has addressed members of Congress and the Senate about issues facing orthodontics. Most recently, he was elected to begin a three-year term to the Penn Dental Medicine’s Alumni Society Executive Board.
Above all else, Dr. Fraser makes a point to educate the next generation of dental students and orthodontists, guest lecturing at dental schools around the country on various topics such as Invisalign or advocating for treatment of patients on the autism spectrum. Dr. Fraser is also a speaker for Invisalign, an honor only given to a select few orthodontists around the country.
